Experience Chinese culture through calligraphy, painting, and engraving.

• This course aims to explore traditional Chinese culture and art in depth, including calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, and seal carving. Students will learn the basic brushstrokes and structure of calligraphy, master the expressive techniques of traditional Chinese painting, and experience the creative process of seal carving. The course not only provides practical skills but also introduces the historical background and cultural significance of these art forms. Through this learning, students will enhance their artistic cultivation, deepen their understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture, and find a way to express themselves through creation.

• Experience comprehensive Chinese art in our intensive courses; choose 3 or 6 lessons.

  • Each lesson lasts 1 hour, for a total of 6 lessons.

• The course includes the completion of three different works (one each of calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, and seal carving).

• Suitable for ages 7 and up (adults and children can both enjoy this).

• Tuition fee: $1800 per person (including course materials)

Classroom content

1. The lesson includes explaining the eight principles of the character "永" (yong), copying poems and songs about children's growth, explaining the stories and lessons within them, and completing a calligraphy work.

2. Explaining the techniques, use of color, and ink in traditional Chinese painting, and how to complete a landscape painting.

3. This course explains the various knife techniques and skills of seal carving, introduces seal script, and teaches you how to complete a personal seal carving.
